A neat finish to the walls using skirting boards provides optical benefits. The skirting boards also cover the border joints nicely, resulting in a closed surface that is easy to clean and protects the wall from dirt and impact.
We supply our skirting boards in different heights from 6 to 10cm, either matching the flooring colour or in white. The stylish white skirting board fits well with modern furnishing styles. With a height of up to 10cm, skirting can also be regarded as a decorative element in the room. The Pure White skirting offers the possibility for skirting to be painted in the same colour as the wall. You can also choose not to paint the skirting and use it as white skirting. When painting, only use standard masking tape to cover the skirting board. Remove the masking tape after a maximum of 16 hours.
In bathrooms and kitchens with high humidity and frequent mopping of the floors, Floorbit skirting boards are the perfect solution as they are waterproof. For occasional cleaning of Floorbit skirting boards, use a damp, heavily wrung cloth washed in clear water. Scouring agents or powders can corrode the surface of the skirting and should not be used.
To install, mount the skirting boards with nails or glue with Floorbit Glue. Cutting and attaching skirting boards to size is a professional matter.
- Measure the length of the wall where the skirting will be installed.
- Cut the skirting with a mitre saw, circular saw or hand saw to the necessary length.
- Place the skirting against the wall and test the fit.
- Nail the skirting into the wall with finishing nails or glue with Floorbit Glue.
